The Midnight Gardens are the resting place of the Mana Stone of Moons.
The plants are pretty exciting in that they manage to grow with no sunlight.
The Beast Kingdom has decided that their territory is dependent on the area of this Mana Stone's affect. Because Midnight Gardens is the exact center of that, it very firmly falls under their rule.
