Kalin Ketra
Pre-Cleft
Kalin lived in a post-apocalyptic world frozen in time and ruled by Primal Dialga with his best friend, Caleb Ketra, a human. His daily life involved hunting and gathering for his village, a settlement underground and hidden away from Dialga's eyes. Kalin and Caleb were a regular thorn in the side of Dusknoir, Dialga's top agent. While this was due in part to their combat skills, one particular thing about Caleb made this possible. Caleb was born with something he came to call the 'dimensional scream', a power that enabled him to see into the past or future of an area.

One day, they rescued Celebi from a squad of Sableeye while hunting in Dusk Forest. Celebi possessed uncanny powers, such as control over time and the ability to freely speak between humans and pokemon. For a time, she simply lived in peace with Kalin and Caleb as an extra pair of hands to help out. But as Kalin and Caleb expressed the passionate desire to dethrone Dialga and restore life to the world, Celebi came to believe in her rescuers and explained a way that such a thing could be done. They would go to Clockwork Forest and travel to the past, using the dimensional scream to locate the world's "time gears". The source of the world's paralysis could be traced to the collapse of Temporal Tower, Dialga's domain. Taking the time gears there would keep it from collapsing, and thus, prevent a future where time itself froze..which in turn, would erase Kalin and Caleb from ever existing.

Determined to go through with the plan knowing the consequences, Kalin, Caleb, and Celebi went to Clockwork Forest to begin their plan. But once there, they were ambushed by Primal Dialga, Dusknoir, and many Sableeye. Celebi still managed to open the gate and stayed behind to help Caleb and Kalin get through. But during the journey through the pathways of time, the two friends became separated. Caleb went missing and Kalin instead fell into the cleft, landing in Rabite Forest. At that point, Kalin lost his memory on everything he ever knew. Were it not for Jameson, a former Team Rocket specialist from a similar world, Kalin would likely have perished to the cleft's dangers.

The Mana Spirits
Struggling with a strange mental condition, Kalin found himself reliant on Jameson as a trainer. On one fated day, a moogle dancer named Mogwai invited Jameson and Kalin to go on a quest with her to meet the legendary spirits of mana. It was then that he met others such as Twilight, Finn, Nagol, Riko, Vinyl, and Qupoma. And around Truce, he met the mimiga Mula and took in the pichu Julexa as a little sister. Throughout their quest together, Kalin began to find deep rooted feelings for Mogwai inside his heart, and he stuck with her for the entirety of her journey. This led to him leaving Jameson's care, who up and disappeared one day without a trace.

These adventures can be read in the RP Logs - "The Mana Spirits" and "Pokepals".

100 Pieces of the Past
Some time after visiting the spirits of mana, Kalin offered to take his friends Finn and Riko to meet Salamando for his blessing. The fiery spirit put them through trials that nearly involved their deaths. In the end, the three learned the basic principle of the world: All beings are made of mana and are destined to someday return their mana to the world. In addition to giving Riko and Finn his blessing, Salamando set Kalin on the path to the Beast Kingdom to meet someone who could 'repair his mind'. Deciding to go alone, Kalin traveled to Fa'Diel in search for answers. While up in the Murkyr Mountains, Kalin found a hollowed out cave to rest in. Upon awakening, he was treated by Jameson, who just happened to be living in said cave. He gave Kalin a choice: To return to him and live a simpler life of following orders without the concerns of love and mental trauma..or to walk his own path and create a path in life for himself. After some thought, Kalin chose to bear the painful burdens of thought and emotion. And so Jameson crushed his pokeball and gave Kalin a shard of it to keep.

When he arrived in the Beast Kingdom, Kalin met a pokemon named Hypno. Initially, Hypno refused to help the Eevee, but after dropping "The Great Salamando"'s name, the psychic pokemon agreed to repair the 'broken shards' of Kalin's mind. During this process, most of his memory was restored: He remembered Caleb, the world he grew up in, and the need to return to it. But after being repaired, Hypno warned him that pieces of his mind were missing. That someone..or something shattered his mind and that he is still missing pieces. There was also something contradictory to the truth: Kalin believed that he was the one with the dimensional scream.

For a time, Kalin returned to Mogwai's side and alternated living with her and in his cave in Rabite Forest with Julexa. He didn't want to leave his life behind, but he had to pick up where Caleb left off. Mogwai's situation on being unable to return to her world may have been unique..but what about his? Surely the mana spirits were capable of it? As time passed, a series of events filled the Eevee's heart with anxiety and depression.

Kalin's concerns boiled up and exploded as he was manipulated into nearly killing Julexa one day, causing him to storm off towards Barrel Volcano to beg Salamando for passage back home. On the way, he was intercepted by Aura of the Mana Tribe. Thanks to her Dryad spirits, she determined that Kalin was the 'disturbed soul' that she was sent to retrieve. After explaining his reasons for wanting to return to his home world, a voice no doubt belonging to the tree of mana itself awarded him with a cyan colored flower that opened a gateway back to his dimension. He had to say goodbye; he'd betrayed everyone he cared about. And so he returned to the duty he and Caleb first set out to do.

All That Was
Kalin's homecoming wasn't a heartfelt experience; the world was just as harsh and lifeless as he had left it. He started by heading back to his village, but found the place empty and in ruins. The Sableeye had found them while he was gone. He then tried to find Celebi in Clockwork Forest, but was beat up and captured by Dusknoir because his mana blessings would not work outside of the cleft. Dusknoir tortured him physically and mentally for days for Caleb's location, as well as that of one 'Adamant Orb'. Eventually, Dusknoir noticed the ribbon Mogwai gave him along with the pokeball shard from Jameson. Taking that to be a clue of the 'old world', Dusknor began to set up Kalin's execution for all of their slaves to see. As Kalin hung by his neck and slowly suffocated, he was rescued by a mysterious dark pokemon. Coming to in a dark cave, that pokemon, Darkrai, told Kalin many things: that Dialga was no longer in their world, that he would have been his enemy, and that he could take Caleb's place in going through with the plan to rewrite history.

Deciding to trust him, Darkrai and Kalin went to Ice Mountain to retrieve Celebi, who was frozen in time. To unfreeze her, Darkrai used one of Dialga's artifacts: The Adamant Orb. Once together in safety, Darkrai laid down the plan: As a historian, he knew where to find the five time gears they would need. And so the three pokemon set out for Clockwork Forest, where Dusknoir and his Sableeye awaited in ambush. As if repeating history in a different manner, Darkrai stayed behind for a time while Celebi and Kalin traveled to the past. One thing continued to bother Kalin after they rescued Celebi: he was still unable to channel the dimensional scream.

Temporal Destiny
After Darkrai caught up, he set off for Limestone Cavern alone and directed Kalin and Celebi first to Treasure town then to Treeshroud forest to acquire the first two time gears. While in Treeshroud Forest, Celebi confessed her feelings for Kalin..but the Eevee had already given his heart to someone else. After a bit of fallout, they discovered something was wrong with Kalin's memory: He never had the dimensional scream, yet he had memories of using it. After promising to help him through his trauma, Celebi and Kalin obtained the time gear and reunited with Darkrai in Treasure Town.

The next three gears were not as simple to retrieve; each were protected by powerful guardians. They began with a long journey to Fogbound Lake, where they disrupted a guild of exploring pokemon. They left the innocent explorers to be frozen in time after defeating Uxie and taking his gear. The next guardian, found in Underground Lake, was defeated through means of deception and betrayal. Kalin fooled Mesprit with some degree of Charm that he learned from Mogwai, leading her on while she helped him find his friends. In the end, Kalin distracted her while Darkrai took her out and secured the gear.

The final gear was guarded by Azelf in Crystal Lake. Further utilizing the aspects of trickery and deception that he picked up from Darkrai, Kalin and Celebi defeated the guardian while Darkrai acquired the final gear. After tending to their last bit of business in Treasure Town, the three pokemon journeyed through Brine Cave where Darkrai convinced the guardian of the Hidden Land, Lapras, to take them there to save Temporal Tower. When they arrived, Darkrai asked Celebi to stay behind at the time gate resting outside the tower as a last resort should they be defeated by Dialga. After being left alone, the gate activated behind Celebi as a certain pokemon emerged from it. Once inside the tower, Darkrai and Kalin were attacked by Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit in a room of everlasting darkness. Kalin ran on ahead, prompting Mesprit to chase after him while Darkrai received planned help from Dusknoir. No match for the two dark pokemon, Uxie and Azelf were brutally slaughtered.

Kalin defeated Mesprit after she chased him down, but he spared her and left her to think about why he was doing what he went there to do. Unfortunately for her, Darkrai and Dusknoir were not far behind the Eevee..and Mesprit shared a similar fate to her brothers. When he reached the spire, Kalin stood before Dialga himself..an obstacle that would not let him approach the slab for the time gears. Halfway through the battle, Darkrai caught up and helped him fight. For three instances, Kalin endured Dialga's Roar of Time, a temporal fluctuation that sent the Eevee's mind back to pivotal moments in time in the past where he was too powerless before. With long forgotten strength returning to him, Kalin actually managed to stun the powerful Lord of Time.

With Dialga defeated, Darkrai placed the time gears on the slab and waited. Kalin found peace in what he believed to be his final moments of existance, confessing his regrets to the uncaring Darkrai. But after some time, Darkrai removed the gears, prompting a double take from the bewildered Eevee. Darkrai's true intentions were revealed while Dusknoir emerged from his hiding place to rub it in: His intention was to use Temporal Tower to 'restore' the time gears. The gears were once a part of Dialga's armor during an era where the Lord of Time had the power of a god. Darkrai's intention was solely that: to restore Dialga to his immortal state..something Dusknoir eagerly awaited to see. But Darkrai's plans went deeper than that, he then betrayed Dusknoir and explained that a true god needed a world more fitting to rule: the cleft of dimensions. Darkrai had his eyes on the Sword of Mana ever since he stowed away in Kalin's shadow. And to deceive his way into the Mana Holyland once more, he absorbed Kalin into himself..just like he did with Caleb the moment he first fell into the cleft. To accomplish that, Darkrai sowed seeds of darkness in Kalin's heart over a long period of time by manipulating the Eevee's choices. Giving up the dimensional scream that he had been utilizing the entire time for Kalin's blessings of mana, Darkrai left the collapsing tower and tricked Celebi into opening the gate back for him. But rather than returning to the future, Darkrai returned to the cleft, betraying Celebi and leaving her to die on his way out.

But hope would not be lost, for Caleb still lived under a pile of rubble that resulted when Darkrai traded him out for Kalin. Miraculously, Caleb escaped the collapsing tower in time to find Celebi struggling with the final seconds of her life. She used the last of her strength to open the gate for Caleb one last time, who returned to the cleft to stop Darkrai and save Kalin.

These adventures can be followed in the world notes "Temporal Destiny" and "Eternal Will".

Shadows of Time
Fortune smiled on Caleb as the first few faces he saw in Truce were Mogwai and Gizmo. Together, they ventured to the Murkyr Mountains to get Jameson's help to not only save Kalin, but to teach Caleb how to be a trainer from his world. It took some convincing, but Jameson agreed to help on the basis that they help him remove his blessings of mana, which were more along the lines of 'curses'. On the way back to Guardia, they rescued a Growlithe from a yeti under the Sulfataska Mountains. Caleb tamed the Growlithe and named him Xenayo, taking lessons from Jameson and combining his own methods to train it. They started by visiting Kalin's cave in Rabite Forest, where Caleb pointed out that the skeletal remains and blood stains covering the cave were caused by Kalin in Shadeon form, who was the same 'monster' who almost killed Julexa. By reliving the scene with the dimensional scream, Caleb noticed that Darkrai returned to the cave after re-entering the cleft.

Together with Mogwai, Gizmo, and Jameson, Caleb tracked Darkrai to the Palace of Darkness. Once there, one of Shade's servants offered to assist them out of vengeance for Darkrai's 'dishonoring' of their sacred grounds. They traveled through a portal of darkness, emerging outside of Angel Tower. After a brawl with some of the tower's denizens, the group followed Darkrai through another portal..one that led to the bottom of the El Nido Triangle. Caleb and his group narrowly avoided drowning to death, but they had to accept that they were back at square one. The Noctowl Gryph, Shade's servant, made the observation that each area they visited had something in common. The initial thought was the darkness involved, but Gizmo made another observation: all three areas were once sites of an origin wormhole. Caleb witnessed Darkrai leaving 'marks' in Angel Tower and the Palace of Darkness, as if leaving a trail for Dialga. Another theory rose from Mogwai when Gryph asked how Darkrai planned to get into the Mana Holyland in the first place: by pretending to be Kalin. Gryph believed that one place most visible to the Mana Tribe was the Sea of Wonders, so the group set out to ambush Darkrai there.

Gizmo called in a favor to get their group transported to Caspia, where they passed through the Kakkara Desert to a place steeped in darkness, where Darkrai would no doubt emerge from. Night fell as they reached the Pillars of Nosgoth, where the fated battle commenced. Gryph connected the dots and revealed Darkrai's plan: He would use Dialga's power to travel back in time when the cleft's gods arrived through their wormholes, receiving tremendous power. He would then harness that power for himself and fill the cleft with darkness. And to avoid a tiresome fight, Darkrai formed a dark void to send Caleb and his friends into slumber. But one member of the group remained awake: the Noctowl Gryph. Only one being has ever had the strength to resist Darkrai's call into slumber: Cresselia. Shedding her disguise, Cresselia dispelled the darkness and safeguarded Caleb's group while they fought against Darkrai and a pair of vampires from the Turelim Clan.

During the fight, Darkrai left Caleb mortally wounded. But after hearing Jameson's and Cresselia's voices, Caleb entered deep trance as he became one with the dimensional scream. In the blink of an eye, Caleb knew the future, and how to write it. No matter how many times Darkrai phased in close to him to strike, Caleb stopped each attempt with his hatchet. Wounded and pushed into a corner, Darkrai 'discarded' Kalin and fled into the darkness. Gizmo and Mogwai retrieved the Eevee from a pile of rubble as Caleb fell lifelessly to the ground. Cresselia explained that Caleb was her 'champion', that she bestowed the dimensional scream on him when he was born. She believed that someday he would do what she isn't capable of doing: destroying Darkrai once and for all. But that fate for Caleb turned out to be just a dream..and so Cresselia chose a new champion: Gizmo. She knew that Gizmo was 'cursed' by time and that she would someday face Dialga. With the dimensional scream, she would no longer be forced to live out the future that she knows will happen..but will instead of the power to write a new future.

With Kalin rescued, the group returned to Caspia. Jameson left first, telling Mogwai to get herself taken care of before returning to help him with his situation involving his mana blessings. Spending some time together watching the sun rise over the Sea of Wonders, Mogwai and Kalin decided to see the world together, without any life threatening situations or getting involved in potental world dominations. In the mean time, Cresselia and Gizmo determined that Xenayo became mute after the trauma he went through when Caleb rescued him. She also explained the divine nature of the dimensional scream, that it was one of many things that she and 'others' stole from 'God'. Before splitting up and going their own ways, everyone sent Caleb's body off into the Sea of Wonders so that he could rest in peace. After that, Cresselia bestowed Kalin's Luneon form with 'Lunar Vision', and left to begin searching for Darkrai. Gizmo agreed to leave the lovebirds to themselves and took Xenayo with her to live with Julexa, though something has kept them from their destination.

These adventures can be followed in the RP Logs "Shadows of Time" and the world notes "Unending Nightmares" and "Memories of my Brother".

Cleft Adventures
Kalin now travels all over the cleft at Mogwai's side, expanding his wisdom, learning the world, and simply enjoying time with the one he loves. One might certainly find the odd pair in Truce or Viorar from time to time, enjoying their lives free from dark manipulators and temporal gods.

Abilities
Eevee Basics: Tripping, clawing, biting, whipping up sand, and slapping with a tail, Kalin is capable of most basic actions the rest of his kind can do.

Eevee Mastery: The peak of a life lived as a well trained Eevee. Trump Card puts Kalin into a state of playing a mental poker game, the better the hand, the stronger the attack. Shadow Ball is a means to fight at long range. And when down to the last of his strength, Last Resort can send him into a brief enraged state before leaving him unconcious. These powers became available after the arc '100 Pieces of the Past'.

Eevee Deception: Fighting alongside Darkrai showed Kalin the power of tricking one's enemy in a fight. Double Team can create illusory copies to deceive foes. By shedding a little energy at the right place at the right time, Substitute can create a perfect decoy. Finally accepting his cute looks, Kalin turns them into a weapon along with his strange tendency to attract females using his Charm, causing those attracted to hesitate and pull back on their blows. These powers became available after the arc 'Temporal Destiny'.

Eevee Pride: Having lost his mana powers for a time, Kalin was forced to return to the basics, utilizing the gifts that Caleb and Celebi taught him long ago. By channeling his Hidden Power, Kalin can induce an electric shock through his target's insides. The force responsible is unknown, but Kalin discovered that if he makes a Wish from the bottom of his heart, it may come true and restore his strength. Heal Bell could be used upon himself and others to eliminate unusual ailments. These powers became available after the arc 'Temporal Destiny'.

Mana Forms: As Kalin met the mana spirits, the blessings they bestowed on him gave him the power to temporarily evolve into a form resembling each spirit. While able to use powers of their element, each form also brings with it a spike in a particular emotion or trait. His Eevee skills also become unusable while transformed. Each form is ranked by its power (PWR), speed (SPD), and risk (RSK) of losing control/deforming early. A form requires about 24 hours to recharge and if the day lines up with the mana form, it will charge at twice the rate. Kalin has been unable to determine just how long a form can really last, since every form is different and their duration is dependent on the powers used while transformed. These powers became available after the arc 'The Mana Spirits'.

Lumineon: (PWR: [*--] SPD: [*--] RSK: [---]) - Light elemental, this form brings enhanced capability to focus. While in Lumineon form, Eevee's mental prowess exceeds any other form. This form focuses on distant offense and support. Offensively, it is able to fire light based beams. Supportively, it can focus its energy on offering extreme protection to an individual, but it leaves itself highly vulnerable while doing this.

Salamandeon: (PWR: [**-] SPD: [**-] RSK: [**-]) - Fire elemental, this form brings unequaled rage. Sometimes the anger is so powerful that he simply overheats and cancels out of the form. This form is purely offensive also somewhat speedy, as its signiture attack involves leaving behind an intense trail of flames. It is also capable of breathing fire.

Undineon: (PWR: [**-] SPD: [*--] RSK: [*--]) - Water/Ice elemental, this form brings kindness. At times it even causes Eevee to not want to fight. Being an aquatic creature, it can swim at exceptional speed and finesse but is rather clumsy on ground. It can also disperse into a puddle of water and move short distances on land. This form focuses on offense and healing. Offensively, it fire water blasts or icey aurora beams from its mouth. Supportively, it can summon kindness rain to help its allies regenerate and feel better.

Gnomeon: (PWR: [***] SPD: [---] RSK: [**-]) - Earth elemental, this form brings intense pride. This pride often puts him in troubling situations because he overestimates himself. Very hardy, Eevee often takes little to no damage but his finesse takes a major dive for it. This form focuses primarily on defense. It can manipulate the ground to form barriers around allies. If he can get a running start, a rocky tackle is always an option.

Sylphideon: (PWR: [*--] SPD: [***] RSK: [---]) - Wind elemental, this form brings energy to Eevee's already spontaneous personality. Along with enhanced speed, he is simply all over the place while in this form. This form focuses primarily on offense, capable of forming a tornado and firing off windy gusts towards the opposition. A tackle with this much speed can pack quite a punch!

Dryadeon: (PWR: [---] SPD: [---] RSK: [***]) - Wood elemental, this form brings drowsiness and often causes Eevee to simply quit fighting and fall asleep. Because he's so tired in this form, he has barely any kind of combat prowess. Instead, this form focuses primarily on debilitation, capable of exerting a variety of spores that can affect living beings. Spores such as hallucinagens, hypnotic bacteria, and muscle laxitives. No, not the kind that make one's bowel move easier, the kind that makes their arms and legs go weak.

Luneon: (PWR: [---] SPD: [---] RSK: [**-]) - Moon elemental, this form brings greater affection for others. At times, it causes Eevee to worry so much about his allies that he will put himself in harm's way in situations that don't really call for it. This form focuses on synergy, capable of empowering allies through the use of 'Lunatic Moon' such as landing stronger blows, enhanced speed, and stronger resilience. But rather than simply 'throwing buffs' on others, Eevee's actions actively enhance others directly. It also has tiny wings that allow him to float, but aren't powerful enough to take flight. Lastly, the crescent moon on his head is rather sharp, a trait one would notice if they got too close to the majestic creature. After meeting Cresselia, Luneon was blessed with 'Lunar Vision', the capability to transmit his thoughts into the minds of other living beings, so long as the moon is out and his target's eyes can be seen.

Shadeon: (PWR: [**-] SPD: [***] RSK: [***]) - Dark elemental, this form brings malice in Eevee's heart. Subtle dislikes are taken out of context and channeled into extreme hatred. This form focuses on speed and close quarters combat, capable of shadow fueled claws and fangs. It is highly evasive and can seemingly phase in and out of position. Its wings allow it moderate flight capabilities.

Traits
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral - Having been raised in the wild, Kalin largely believes in 'survival of the fittest'. That aside, he's spent most of his life fighting for freedom from Dialga's tyrranical reign. If he feels that a party in a conflict is being oppressed, he will likely side with the one fighting against it. He holds some moral values that he learned from Caleb, such as respect for higher entities and all sentient forms of life, avoiding senseless violence, and showing kindness to the needy.

Terrain Preference: Kalin lived among forests frozen in time before meeting Caleb. He most in his element when amidst a sea of bushes and trees. He is also comfortable in caves and underground due to the nature of the village he lived in with Caleb. He dislikes deserts and snow because he doesn't cope to the extreme temperatures well, even with his adaptability. He also hates urban areas and plains because it makes him feel exposed. A guy's just gotta have a bush or something readily available to hide in, you know?

Eevee Adaptation: A natural trait to most Eevees, Kalin finds adaptability to be almost as simple as breathing. This doesn't make him a quick learner, merely quick to adapt to changes around him. Such adaptations are lost when new environments are introduced to him. A loony professor once theorized that an Eevee's irregular genetic code may even attempt to adapt to new stimuli.

Eevee Instinct: Having spent time in the wild before living in civilization, Kalin possesses natural instinct common to most beasts. This capability has weakened some since regaining his memories. The more in-tune a beast is with civilization, the harder it becomes for them to listen to the primal voice inside. Current status: Primal [|||||||||||||||03E||] Civil

Talents: It's unknown whether or not it's talent or his adaptation at work or perhaps some combination of the two, but Kalin has shown capable musical skills for those who can understand him.

Racial Ethics: Kalin generally considers all beasts to be equal, unless one has established superiority over the other. He's also more comfortable around other beasts and pokemon than he is around humanoids and constructs. His tolerance of them has strengthened due to the time he lived in Caleb's village and having been saved by Jameson, but he will always have a cautious reaction when meeting new humanoids and synthetic creations.

Associations: Kalin's not aligned with any particular faction, but he has met many people while adventuring with Mogwai. His first friends were Finn and Riko. He considers the Pichu Julexa his little sister and usually just tolerates Mogwai's friends rather than calling them friends of his own. He trusts Gizmo sometimes, but it upsets him when she bugs Mogwai. With Caleb dead and Finn and Riko missing, the only thing combating the Eevee's loneliness is the exotic moogle dancer.

Oboyo Jinsaka
Origins
Oboyo grew up in the Jinsaka Manor in Shrike, though he also lived in a mansion owned by the family in Gold City. While very young, he was approached by a concerned attendant one day who suggested that he learn to defend himself. Nobles all too often rely on others, and being the son of one of his father's 'youthful experiments', he would someday be replaced by a true heir. He took up several styles of martial arts, such as taekwondo and several disciplines of stick fighting. After his little half brother was born, various subtle attempts were made on his life throughout the years. the blame could never be directly connected to his father, but he knew the old man's intentions.

After undergoing a currently unrevealed event, Oboyo's father found an honorable reason to disown his elder son and banished him from the Gold City mansion and the rest of the Jinsaka family. To keep the exile honorable, Oboyo's father gave the manor in Shrike to him but he fired all of the staff and left Oboyo with nothing but his own things. This didn't stop some staff members however, as the ones who raised and cared for Oboyo left his father's service and joined him in the empty manor in Shrike.

Memories of the Disowned
Exiled from his family for reasons currently unexplained, Oboyo took up residence in an old manor his family once lived in at Shrike. The manor was abandoned when the Jinsaka family developed intense prejudice against technology, choosing to live instead in Gold City. Without much money to his name, Oboyo would have had to sell the manor if not for some of the attendants who followed him: The butler Maison, the expert merchant Mr. Adonis Moit, the elderly moogle maid Ms. Kuporia, and the 'helpful' Servbot #1337. Together, they renovated parts of the manor and rented rooms out to travelers and merchants. Oboyo may also have had deals with unsavory felonous types.

The first initial boost to Oboyo's income came from finding a unique crystal hidden in the family crypt under the manor. A strange man offered a lot of money to buy the crystal, which he called a 'soul gem'. But before finalizing the deal, the man released the spirit trapped inside the soul gem, causing it to possess the butler Maison and leaving the man behind to die. Oboyo then enlisted the aid of a secretive order of exorcists while Moit utilized his network of contacts to find Maison.

Finally tracking Maison to Truce, Oboyo sent a plan to the exorcist leader, Rhakashka. But Oboyo's plan to paralyze himself and allow himself to be possessed went sour, as Dusk showed up suddenly to become Florence's new host. The tragedy resulted in the death of the exorcist leader, Rhakashka. Oboyo invited his pupils, Lym Hughes and Lionel Slack, to stay with him and help him save the knight and avenge their master.

These adventures can be followed in the world notes "Memories of the Disowned".

The Tides of Justice
Some time after his failure, Oboyo was visited in the night by a mysterious seer named Leknaat, who claimed to be living in another world. She warned him that a malevolent spirit and its phantoms would someday invade the cleft, and that only 108 Stars of Destiny using the power of the Spirit Rune would be able to stop it. Using her Gate Rune, she sent her pupil Lucass to help and guide Oboyo in acquiring the Spirit Rune and preparing for the inevitable invasion.

Since then, Oboyo recruited Dr. Egon Spengler and attempted to exorcize Florence, failing multiple times due to unforeseen surprises. In the final confrontation, Oboyo and his entourage defeated Florence and acquired the Spirit Rune. But the price would be steep, as their actions doomed an innocent man to die.

These adventures can be followed in the world notes "The Tides of Justice".

Guided by the Stars: The Tenkai Star
With the Spirit Rune in hand, Oboyo knew that Leknaat's prediction would come true. He resolved to gather support from people all over the cleft in preparation for the day of the ghost ship's invasion. And so began the story of the Stars of Destiny!

Abilities
Spirit Rune: One of the 27 'True Runes' from another world, the Spirit Rune is described as having the power to "govern life after death." In the cleft, its magic causes ghosts to become tangible. More powers may be still be hidden deep inside...

Intermediate Martial Arts: By no means an expert, Oboyo has taken plenty of lessons in Tae Kwon Do. On the other hand, his skills in staff fighting are exceptional. He carries a custom three-piece staff that snaps together in his trenchcoat.

Intermediate Marksmanship: He's no sniper, but Oboyo is fairly accurate with the handgun he keeps in his trenchcoat at all times due to some training growing up.

Traits
Alignment: Neutral Good - Oboyo's a regular guy, he doesn't approve of senseless violence or murder. If someone is being wronged, he will seek to right it. On the other hand, he won't get involved with someone who merely looks like they're up to no good. The law can handle that. People should respect one another and keep civil. After all, where would we be without mutual respect?

Racial Ethics: Being cleft born, Oboyo has no preferences or hatreds against any race.

Associations: After establishing a healthy flow of income, the Jinsaka Manor is accepted as a respectable business establishment among the other companies that run Shrike. Oboyo's primary associations come from the Stars of Destiny arc.

Sir Dusk of Elham
Pre-Cleft
Dusk grew up in a life of solitude in his home dimension, Ivalice. From his early years to his coming of age he spent all of his time studying texts for the Glabados Church and training with the paladin Sir Dupre Roifenburg. Being an orphan, Dusk had no family outside of the church. The closest thing he had to a father was Father Malkom, the head priest of the tiny village of Elham.
Behind the scenes, Father Malkom worked as part the church's 'heretic slayers'. It is for this reason that he gathered a small group of orphans to be trained in both the ways of a priest and of a knight. The orphans would be expected to bring peace to lingering spirits, and so they were injected with a substance known as 'ectoshade', which is a kind of poison toxic towards ghosts. For the latter part of his life, Dusk spent his time seeking out heretics
and slaying them if they did not atone for their sins. He had also just started learning the Holy Sword techniques under Sir Dupre's guidance.

This life came to an end as soon as Dusk fell into the cleft. Within his first day, he was bumped into by Oboyo Jinsaka while looking around in Truce. He followed Oboyo out near Rabite Forest where he witnessed the man shooting an elderly gentleman. Before he could bring Oboyo to justice, Dusk was possessed by an old and evil spirit that Oboyo named 'Florence'. Supposedly, Florence can only possess a pure soul, or at least one as pure as spiritually possible. However, the ectoshade in Dusk's body began to eat away at Florence's spirit. To circumvent that, Florence's spirit fused with Dusk's, creating a strange new individual. The end result is the Dusk seen during Imbibobot's chapter in life: a bipolar psychopath who bounces between naivety and nonsensical ramblings.

Florence has been in the cleft for a long time, but the details of its past were unknown until recently. However, it makes its intentions clear: become the ultimate entity in existence. It is for this reason that it takes possession of pure souls to find the ultimate power and seize it. Another mysterious fact is that alcohol has an effect in determining control of Dusk's body.

Tales of Imbibobot
On his way to the Etansel Library one day, Dusk (controlled by Florence) found himself involved with a scene in Truce. A strange robot caught his attention when it mentioned its god. This started a long journey with Imbibobot's flock in a search for god. In the end, Florence learned a lot about the hidden mysteries of the cleft. In particular, it gave Florence insight on the most powerful beings in the cleft. This gave Florence a new plan: find the seams holding the cleft together and use them against the ultimate inventor: Carsanquay.

These adventures can be followed in the RP Logs "Tales of Imbibobot" and the world notes "Notepad from a creepy Scholar".

Wishborn
Tailing Lenai in Truce one day hoping to find a lead on Kolem's location, Dusk (controlled by Florence) saw a group of adventurers speaking to a strange cat. This creature, calling itself Kyuubei, offered a wish to anyone foolish enough to give in to the temptation. Florence observed the creature creating soul gems to those who made a wish. Having transferred souls in the past, Florence felt this would be its chance to seal away Dusk's soul into a gem and take full control of Dusk's body.
Florence first tried to wish for a vessel that would lead him to the cleft's seams, but Kyuubei refused the wish under grounds that it would interfere with the immortals' interests. In the end, it simply wished for the soul gem itself.
Now that Florence has full control of Dusk's body, it continues its search for a way to find the cleft's seams while upholding its part of Kyuubei's deal.

After its first battle fighting alongside the other Wishborn, Florence witnessed Kyrk destroying Lenai's soul gem as a response to her sloth. For reasons unknown, Florence separated from the other Wishborn to find a way to restore Lenai's soul and sever the link tying Dusk's soul to his body. Even though Dusk's soul is sealed away, should something happen to the gem, his body will suffer for it as well. For obvious reasons, Florence wishes to keep the gem safe so it can continue to use Dusk's body.

Florence then met with a talking grimoire in Viorar and discussed the research of a man named 'Seamus' regarding soul creation. Afterwards, he was ambushed by Oboyo and his knights, an order sworn to exorcise malevolent spirits. Thanks to Dusk's soul gem powers, it was able to defeat Oboyo and escape. It is presumed that Florence is lying low to avoid Oboyo's order of knights while seeking the man named Seamus.

Florence later sought Gaeus for his thoughts regarding the wish granting creature, but that lead no where. It was then approached by a mysterious man calling himself 'Oxcarts', who invited it to join his peculiar organization. Seeing no reason to refuse, Florence agreed to work them and was rewarded the power to control minor shadow creatures known as the 'Heartless'. Florence currently uses the organization's resources to research a method to sever the link to the soul gem while hunting wielders of weapons known as 'keyblades' in return.

Having stumbled on a possible solution to the 'thread' that ties both gem to body, Florence sets out for the soul gems carried by other Wishborn to use as experiments in a transmutation consisting of unique designs from an assortment of dimensions. Its first target was Rarity, who eventually decided to actually 'surrender' and go along with it for now. After defeating a witch in a 'realm of darkness', Florence was forcefully embedded with the 'Rune of Punishment', one of the 27 'true runes' from another dimension. This threw off its plan and it sent Rarity home as it now researches for more information. For now, it doesn't dare use the rune's power.

After several encounters with Oboyo Jinsaka and his entourage, Florence was separated from Dusk's body and the truth of its past was revealed to it: It was the personification of the 'Spirit Rune'*, another one of the 27 True Runes from the same world as the Rune of Punishment. With some help, Oboyo eliminated Florence and took the Spirit Rune into his left hand. However, the process set Dusk's life on a timer. While he was restored to his original state, he only had 'half of a soul' left due to merging with Florence. In his final hours, he killed the corrupted Rarity and brought her peace before joining her himself.

These adventures can be followed in the RP Logs "Price of Sloth", "Web of Misery", "No More Secrets", "Premeditation", "Two Threats", "Darkness Rising", "Experiments and Associates", "A Knight's Duty", and "A Truly Generous Sending". There is also the world note, "What is a name?"

Coming soon!

Weapons
Barstool Spear - An old barstool that has been attached to the end of a stick. Whether it's for taking a seat or showing rowdy customers out, this loyal wooden construction does its job dutifully.

Spells
Red Mage's spells have to be chanted before they can be casted, which generally takes up an entire round. Stronger spells will take even longer. Casting the same spell back to back has diminishing results.

Fire - A basic fireball capable of causing small fires. Short cast.

Ice - A sharp icicle formed at the palm of the hand. Short cast.

Cure - A minor healing spell that can mend cuts and slightly ease pain. Short cast.

Traits
Alignment - Chaotic Good - Red Mage is a firm believer of truth and justice and will not let anything get in his way. So long as there is evil, there shall always be a staff of truth and a hat of righteousness waiting to strike it down!

Racial Ethics - Red Mage is fair to all individuals so long as they do not harbor ill intentions towards others.

Associations - Heroes for Hire. Coming soon!

36 Stars of Heaven
#1 - Tenkai Star / Chief Star of Heaven - Oboyo Jinsaka

#3* - Tenki Star / Star of Wisdom - Elenor Silverburg

A renowned strategist from a renowned family in the Scarlet Moon Empire, she was exiled due to the actions of her apprentice, Graham Cray. She helped the Island Nations from her world defeat Cray Trading Company with the help of the Rune of Punishment before becoming missing in action at Fort El-Eal. That was when she fell into the cleft and met Oboyo in Caspia, being drug off to mentor over another war.

#4* - Tenkan Star / Star of Idleness - Lucass - Focused

An adept at magic, Lucass was the apprentice to Lady Leknaat, the seer who warned Oboyo of the inevitable invasion by the ghost ship. He is Oboyo's adviser on the Spirit Rune, and is safely guarding the Rune of Punishment. He's also 316 years old, but looks like he's 13 because he held a true rune at that age for a while. With the help of Mekis, Kent, and Hastur, Lucass was able to find resolution with his heartache.

#6* - Tenyu Star / Star of Heroic Ferocity - Graham Cray

Elenor's former apprentice and once known as the 'Merchant of Death', Graham fell into the cleft along with Elenor after the destruction of Fort El-Eal. He was recruited at Eldin Mountain to assist in leading the Paranormal Deliverance Force.

#7 - Tenmou Star / Star of Swift Courage - Spitfire - DECEASED

Though she's not the fastest, even among pegasi, Spitfire is still a highly-regarded one, largely due to the fact that she's in charge of the Wonderbolts. This also means she's highly knowledgeable in military tactics, and a capable commanding officer both on and off the battlefield. She met Launchpad in her office in Shrike and was introduced to the Paranormal Defense Force. Unfortunately, during an encounter with a rampaging Golurk in the Rabite Forest, Spitfire sustained fatal wounds, dying despite the best efforts of Demonicor and Hastur.

#9 - Tenei Star / Heroic Star - Optimus Prime

Leader of the Autobots in his home world, a large and powerful robot who can disguise himself as a vehicle. His combat capabilities are obvious and his leadership is inspiring. He once fought off a wave of monsters in the Loftarasa Mountains alongside Chief Nanaki of Cosmo Canyon and has continued to protect the innocents around the cleft since. He joined the Paranormal Deliverance Force at Nanaki's suggestion after assisting them with an investigation.

#10 - Tenki Star / Lofty Star - Mogusao Kuporo

A lord of war in the Beast Kingdom and head of House Kuporo, his intense hatred for white moogles puts even the most stout bigots to shame. He refused to listen to Mekis after defeating him in a duel, but was able to identify traitors in his own house thanks to Gizmo's investigations.

#77 - Chiraku Star / Star of Music - Vinyl Scratch

Twilight Sparkle, as both Princess Celestia's personal student and the bearer of the legendary Element of Magic, got pulled from her home in Equestria to experience life away from what she knew, despite her initial reluctance and misgivings. She has since then come to terms with her duty in the Cleft. She met Oboyo on the docks in Truce and joined the PDF in order to honor her late friend's memory.

It's during this time that, after an encounter with her dark counterpart, she ascended to the status of royalty, though her position as the newest Princess has remained inactive. She's still quite capable in the use of magic, and has a extensive repertoire of spells available to her, in spite of her rather obvious lack of experience in combat, even as a Princess.

Recently, out of disdain for - and fear of - her own raw power, however, Twilight's abdicated her empty position as a Princess, and willfully relegated herself to a less important role in the PDF.
A traitor from a distant galaxy, he was a cocky "agent of death" until he was captured and launched out of system. After multiple lines of his programming were rewritten or scrambled midflight, his prime directive now forces him to follow Oboyo's orders as the one who opened his crashed pod.
She's kind to a fault, and very loyal, though her faith in her abilities is a little low. Lynette has the ability to control her bullets after they leave the barrel of her rifle, able to ignore shifts in the wind and movement of her target. She joined the PDF after assisting Twilight and Egon during the brawl with Ghost Nappa.

A sophisticated war-droid, created to defend her home system, she has since found a new purpose after an abrupt shift in dimensions that relocated her into the Cleft. She met Oboyo while fishing for koi and agreed to work security for his manor. An exceptional unarmed combatant.

Oboyo Jinsaka:

Here is where I will be keeping brief summaries of events pertaining to the Stars of Destiny.

Week 1: Jan 18th
Commander Deim set up security around the Jinsaka Manor, which is the HQ of the Paranormal Deliverance force. Twilight was recruited in Truce, who promised to fight in order to honor her friend's memory. Spitfire and Helios were recruited in Shrike by Oboyo and Launchpad.

After receiving information from Moit, the PDF mobilized in Truce to engage Ghost Nappa. With the help of onlookers, they succeeded and established the presence of the PDF. Oboyo demonstrated the power of the Spirit Rune and invited any who would fight to join them.

Week 2: Jan 25th
Following the PDF back from Truce at her own pace, Lynette Bishop joined with Twilight's recommendation. Helios answered Egon's call for help and assisted in preparing a second proton gun. A banquet was held to honor the PDF's victory in Truce and to welcome those who joined from that battle.

Week 3: Feb 1st
Hastur met Twilight in Truce and joined with her recommendation. Commander Deim's progress in installing cameras was accelerated with Twilight's help. Deim spotted some shady characters outside of the manor during the banquet and informed Oboyo, who suspects they were sent by businesses in Shrike. Trixie, Twilight's self proclaimed rival, followed Hastur back to the manor and joined as well.

Oboyo set out to meet Ekal Hoppa De Pe Tapeta in Shrike along with Twilight, Julexa, Helios, and Mekis. They were hired to investigate Sei Tomb, where they fought and defeated King Boom Boo. Jean offered his gratitude by joining the PDF to cook for them. Meanwhile, Lynette, the M85, and Servbot #1337 build a rock garden in the rear courtyard of the Jinsaka Manor. Hastur showed up in the middle of the project to help them.

Week 4: Feb 8th
Oboyo, Egon, Mekis, Hastur, Helios, and Trixie set out to Cosmo Canyon aboard the Gitmidur to accept a job from Chief Nanaki. Nanaki enlisted the aid of Optimus Prime as well to investigate a strange ghostly door. The group fell into a large chamber and battled colored ghosts until none remained. Sympathetic to their cause but unable to personally assist, Nanaki suggested Optimus and his strongest warrior, Sutan, to join the Paranormal Deliverance Force.

Week 5: Feb 15th
Oboyo departed somewhere to tend to personal business, leaving his manor in the capable hands of the Paranormal Deliverance Force. As luck would have it, the manor was attacked by a trio of ghosts. Deciding to bust the ghosts the old fashioned way, Egon, Twilight, Hastur, Mekis, Julexa, Helios, and Trixie succeeded in trapping the ghosts at the cost of the manor's cleanliness. Oboyo made no inquiries when he returned home and saw the mess, only went upstairs to retire for the evening.

Week 6: Feb 22nd
Oboyo and most of the Paranormal Deliverance Force took a trip to Caspia while the manor was cleaned and fumigated. They first stopped at Truce where Oboyo hired the accountant Jeffrey and Hastur invited the deaf/mute girl Jax and her faithful guardian corgi, Scruffles, to join the group.

While dining at the Blue Moon Inn, a patron fled the establishment screaming of a ghost. Oboyo and the PDF offered to investigate the case with the help of Gizmo and the priest Roche. During the investigation, Oboyo met Elanor Silverburg, a mysterious woman who came from the same world as the Spirit Rune. She agreed to join the PDF if they were successful in solving the ghost mystery. After discovering a plot to scare away the inn's patrons so he could steal the innkeeper's 'Stardrop Sapphire', Gizmo executed the murderous red kirby behind the scheme. Before the end of the night, the Stardrop Sapphire emitted a strange light and fell apart, firing a blast towards Twilight and causing her to disappear. Oboyo sent out all willing hands to search for her.

Week 7: Mar 1st
Annoyed at Oboyo's lack of reports, Deim questioned Trixie on the events that occured in Caspia. She set off to find Oboyo to accept his offer to a 'friendly' spar.

Oboyo formally introduced Elenor Silverburg as the new Chief Strategist of the Paranormal Deliverance Force. She suggested that everyone look inside themselves and to deal with any distractions that they might have as well as to help each other deal with them. The three ghosts that attacked the manor remain trapped in a small storage device and need to be dealt with at some point. While in Caspia, a capsule crash landed inside the manor. After examining it, Oboyo released a CAST named Dos who unwillingly joined the PDF.

Week 8: Mar 8th
Elenor asked Dr. Carlton to build a 'trump card'.

After scaling Eldin Mountain, the Paranormal Deliverance Force met and recruited Elenor's former pupil Graham Cray to act as a General.

Week 9: Mar 15th
Twilight returns from her trials and accepts her destiny as a Princess. Many of her fellow PDF members throw her a welcome home party in the Jinsaka Manor.

Twilight is revealed to be a fake from an alternate Equestria bent on ruining the real Twilight's image. She is put out of commission by Trixie. The ghosts who attacked the manor weeks ago argued that not all ghosts 'break the rules' and deserve the punishment that Oboyo has been dispensing. Promising to help against the rule breakers, Stretch, Fatso, and Stinky join the Paranormal Deliverance Force.

Week 10: Mar 22nd-Apr 5th
Part 1 (Mar 22)- With Elenor's advice, Oboyo warns Lucass to keep their possession of the Rune of Punishment a secret, particularly from Graham Cray. Oboyo personally welcomes Twilight back from her sudden departure, reminding her that she can't protect victims if she herself is one.

Oboyo, Stretch, Hastur, Twilight, Trixie, Roche, Carmichael, Lenai, Mekis, Gizmo, Helios, and Lynette visit Luigi's Mansion at Stretch's recommendation to find support for the invasion. Suspicious of the offer, Oboyo brings a handful of PDF members just in case. The boos prove to be sensible, albeit mischievousness, but have problems of their own. Trixie, Gizmo, Lenai, and Hastur manage to get information out of the eccentric Professor E. Gadd, revealing that a ghost eating monster stole his machine along with many of the spirits living there. Oboyo offers to aid the boos, being given one day to launch a rescue before the boos terrorize the entire Luon Highway. Carmichael departs early to do a little recon while Twilight heads to Viorar to get support from Egon and Moit.

Part 2 (Mar 29th-Apr 5th)

Thanks to Carmichael's recon, Oboyo dispatches a few members of the PDF to deal with the monster and rescue the ghosts while he remains behind with Lady Bow, discussing why they need her help. Led by Twilight, the dispatch group consisting of Trixie, Gizmo, Hastur, Lenai, Mekis, and Egon, infiltrate the ruined hideout and confront the creature. After showing a reasonable attitude and introducing itself as Steve, it is revealed that he stole the captive ghosts because he has no choice if he wants to survive. The moral question imposed little doubt on the PDF, who convinced him to surrender and meet Oboyo in hopes of finding a cure to his situation.

When Twilight's squad returned to the boo's mansion, Lady Bow was not thrilled to see Steve. Trixie violently maintained a stance of neutrality in hopes that both sides could find a peaceful resolution. As Steve accused Oboyo of murdering Dusk, the psychopath responsible for his condition, Lenai went into a rage and tore off with Oboyo. With support from Twilight, Mekis, Hastur, and Gizmo, the PDF members released the captive ghosts and convinced Bow to spare Steve, who in turn joined them after taking an oath for Gizmo.

Week 11: Apr 12th
After returning to the manor, Oboyo took a seat in the meeting room along with Steve, Helios, Hastur, Trixie, and Gizmo. He then told them a little about his past, how the PDF was formed and tragedy of the knight possessed by the personification of the Spirit Rune. Steve apologized for accusing Oboyo of murder, showing his capability for concern as he watched Twilight enter the room in tears while the death of her best friend was brought up.

A wasp-like humanoid lady showed up at the manor begging for the PDF to save one Queen Antoinette's castle from mischievous ghosts. Oboyo, Gizmo, Helios, Trixie, Hastur, Carmichael, and Spitfire rushed off in the Gitmidur to investigate. Upon arriving, the PDF was taunted by ghosts and forced to split up. Eventually, the PDF members were able to meet Queen Antoinette and learn more about the ethereal pests. Trixie and Hastur found their hideout and successfully convinced the jokers to surrender, promising a potential home in Sei's Tomb in Shrike. Calling the day a success, the PDF members returned to the Gitmidur while Oboyo stayed behind to request the aid of the wasps for the inevitable invasion.
Meanwhile, Mekis spent some quality time with Lenai at the manor, worried about her emotional breakdown last week. The two played a fateful game of UNO, dispelling the built up anxiety and despair with hope and joy.

Week 12: Apr 19th-Apr 26th
Helios fixed a cloaking device that he gave to Trixie, who passed out after a training mishap. Concerned, Twilight and Hastur exploded at each other while trying to get her help. Full of remorse and reminded of what he had been running from, Hastur left the manor to face certain doom. Twilight and Trixie tracked him down and insisted on helping him. Together, they prepared for a fierce battle and considered seeking more help from the Paranormal Deliverance Force.

Hastur, Trixie, and Twilight succeeded in killing Father of Mine but were forced to retreat after encountering Mother of Mine. Hastur asked for help, insisting that she must be put down. Elenor didn't approve of sending the PDF with him, but she made no move to stop his friends from offering to help. With Gizmo, Mekis, Roche, and Helios in tow, Twilight teleported Hastur's group back the underground labyrinth to finish what they started. Hastur embraced his legacy and used it to ensure victory. Tired from battle and unable to teleport everyone again, Twilight and the rest of the PDF take their own routes back to manor.

Week 13: May 3rd
Steve, Jean, and Sutan traveled to Guardia to get their weapons sharpened. They met Kent in Truce and discussed opening a forge in the Jinsaka Manor when Oboyo returns.

Elenor declared Oboyo and Launchpad MIA but insisted that the PDF still do its duty while they search for clues of their whereabouts. Looking towards the Beast Kingdom for support for the invasion, Elenor tasked Mekis with a mission to convince Lord Mogusao of House Kuporo to join the cause. Along with Trixie, Gizmo, and Scruffles, he was guided to the Beast Kingdom with the help of Mogwai and Kalin, whom left the PDF's company once their job was complete. Mogusao Kuporo challenged Mekis to a duel to determine his worthiness to be in his presence. While they fought, a guard lured Gizmo outside where he informed her that House Kuporo had been infiltrated by rival houses. Mogusao has to put on a show while they try to weed out the traitors, otherwise he would have agreed to support the PDF. Despite having help from Trixie and Scruffles, Mekis was unable to defeat the black moogle lord. Disgusted and strangely disappointed, Mogusao had the group kicked out of his land. With a sudden shock to nearly everyone involved, Gizmo offered to leave the PDF and work for House Kuporo..something the guards felt very aroused over. Her offer was accepted and she said her farewells to Mekis, Trixie, and Scruffles.

Meanwhile, Hastur led Twilight, Roche, Carmichael, Helios, Kent, Egon, Lym, and Lionel to Nakajima Robotics to investigate a possession. Upon arriving they found the building evacuated save for one holdout. The team split up into three groups where they were ambushed by robots. In addition to that, the facility was about to undergo a meltdown. Kent, Roche, and Egon found the possessed researcher, but Kent killed the man before Roche and Egon could stop him, resulting in the ghost's escape to the unknown. Hastur and Helios found panels to access a coolant system, but a trap was triggered which sealed Lym and Lionel behind separate blast doors. Called 'Program Heatsink', the trap proceeded to pull all of the generated heat into those two rooms. Time ticked as the PDF tried desperately to save both exorcists, but the difficult choice to save Lym was finally made by Helios.

Week 14: May 10th
Feeling as though Kent is despised and all alone, Steve visited his forge and offered to take him hunting in Pedan for a few days.

Accepting that she is powerless without Lionel, Lym requested to see Father Roche two days before the funeral. Being a man of faith, she offered to train him in her order's unique and effective style of exorcism. Roche agreed and is set to begin studying after Lionel's funeral.

Most of the Paranormal Deliverance Force gathered together in the manor's rear courtyard to send Lionel off with their blessings. Roche led the ceremony, where he, Kent, Twilight, Trixie, and Egon spoke of Lionel's memory. Many members of the PDF were empowered to fight harder after sending Lionel away, but Elenor seemed to be facing an equally tough decision that Helios had once made.

Gizmo toured around the Kuporo Manor with Montgomery, learning which room is where and which rooms were off limits to her. She met the maid Kuparia briefly and learned a little about her new supervisor: Battlemaiden Kupenneth of the Dark Guard. Upon being shown the male barracks, Montgomery explained that he would be cleaning them for a while when everyone else is on shift..making the room the only place where he and Gizmo can discuss their true mission in identifying the infiltrators.

Week 15: May 17th
Before Elenor could assign the PDF a new mission, Graham Cray took over the show and claimed Elenor was deceiving everyone. He explained that the fates of the PDF are tied together by the Spirit Rune, and without a true rune's guidance, those fates will whither and fall apart. To mend the situation, he stole the dormant Rune of Punishment and attempted to convince the PDF to follow his lead. His explanation didn't go over well with Lenai, Mekis, Hastur, Twilight, and Trixie, some of whom almost turned the meeting room into a battleground. Accepting that he would not be able to persuade the PDF, Graham escaped in a cloud of smoke with Egon's spare proton blaster. Lenai began barking orders and sent Hastur and Steve to Brei to search for Lucass while she and Twilight would lead search teams over the Aegiran Ocean.

Lenai asked Elenor in private how difficult it would be to retrieve the Rune of Punishment from Graham, offering to sacrifice herself to the rune if it meant keeping the PDF together and saving the world. Elenor explained that the process isn't so simple and that a reploid wouldn't be able to bear it. Regardless, Lenai refused to give up hope and asked Elenor for help on a backup plan because she wanted to help in any way possible. Elenor told Lenai to keep pushing the search effort and to leave the planning to her. Upon leaving Oboyo's study, Elenor opened a letter with the heading: It's ready.

After learning some names and faces, Gizmo found an opportunity to speak to Montgomery in private. Montgomery established the first order of business: learn more details about an incident that occurred at the last meeting of the Battle Lords as well as the bet that Mogusao made with Lord Gruff. She spoke with the maid Kuparia at length and discovered that the guard Kunin may be able to provide answers about the meeting since he was there.

Week 16: May 24th-May 31st
Twilight caught Helios up on recent events and requested his aid in developing a means of communication between the team, a task that would greatly benefit the PDF in their search and in future missions.

Part 1: Various members of the PDF caught up on recent events in their lives until Elenor made an important announcement. Thanks to everyone's efforts oversea, the Spirit Rune's signal has been traced. She then took Twilight, Lynette, Lenai, Mekis, Kent, Roche, and Helios to the ascendalator where she has already 'prepared transport' for the PDF. It was then that she revealed a massive submarine, the Gitmidur MKII, housed in a dock far below the Jinsaka Manor. Once aboard, the crew set out for the Spirit Rune's signal, finding a mysterious underwater complex upon arrival. Helios and Kent buried the hatchet while the others prepared to meet up with them to investigate the place.

When the MK II arrived, Kent decided to stay behind and defend the sub in case of an emergency. Twilight and Lynette also remained behind for a time after a brief dispute with Lenai when Roche was volunteered to lead the squad inside. Within, Roche, Lenai, Mekis, and Helios found no signs of life. Piles of dust and abandoned equipment littered the halls until the team was ambushed by a Gengar and two Haunters. They had no way to attack the ghosts, but fortunately, a blast from the Spirit Rune turned the battle around. Having been freed by Demonicor, Oboyo and Launchpad reunited with the PDF and fled from the complex, warning the team of a dangerous 'fat and ugly' ghost. The PDF successfully escaped from the building and began their trip back to Shrike, where Twilight filled Oboyo in on some of the things he missed.

Week 17: June 7th
Oboyo informed the PDF that only nine weeks remained until the day the ghost ship arrives. He then confessed his intentions before he was captured: To seek support from his old family in Gold City. He took Twilight, Hastur, Demonicor, Helios, Kent, Mekis, Julexa, and Roche with him as protection. And a good thing he did, because the group found the traitor Graham Cray waiting for them inside the gates of the other Jinsaka Manor. Influenced by Lionel's and Steve's deaths, Oboyo refused to fight Graham's unit and took everyone back to the manor. Support would have to be found elsewhere.

Week 18: June 14th
The Inventor's Club was launched this week and is currently in progress. Participants: Helios, Demonicor, and Lenai.

Spitfire was attacked by a rogue Golurk during a recon, requesting support from Hastur and Demonicor to deal with it. Before they arrived, she sustained heavy injuries and passed away not long after they dealt with it.

Week 19: June 21st-June 28th
Hastur suggested seeking his martial art masters in their dojo near Wutai for support during the invasion. He brought Oboyo, Vinyl, Kent, and Julexa to meet them. Master Ip Man explained that rival schools were being manipulated by one 'Hazama', who arrived with said schools to finish his conquest. Targeting the masters and senior students of the rival schools, the PDF was able to hold their own in non-lethal combat while Kent defeated Hazama. Showing no mercy, Hastur asked Kent to kill the manipulator, who did so valiantly.

Week 20: July 5th
Awkward Dating - Lucass was feeling uneasy for some time struggling with feelings for another person that he did not understand. Thanks to Mekis' advice and the presence of Kent and Hastur, Lucass found the courage to approach Kimen and talk to them. Things didn't quite go according to plan, but it was a step in the right direction and Kimen joined the Paranormal Deliverance Force under the watchful eye of Kent.

Week 21: July 12th
Because Launchpad and the Gitmidur were elsewhere, Oboyo rode the ferry to Truce to tend to some errands. On the way back, the ferry was attacked by a ghostly shark. With the help of the fisherman Ed Mors, the two were able to defeat the shark and ensure the safety of the voyage. With a keen eye for fishing and a strange attraction for sharks, Ed joined the Paranormal Deliverance Force.

Hearing the rumors of a group fighting ghosts, Solaire sought the Jinsaka Manor and immediately joined the Paranormal Deliverance Force in an emergency situation on the Island of Pedan. Nanaki sent word that an enormous ghostly rider headed that direction, which immediately engaged Oboyo, Solaire, Roche, and Twilight upon arrival. Upon the spirit's defeat, it attempted to possess Oboyo but found that no spirit can control the bearer of the Spirit Rune. The ghostly horse then warned the team that the Spirit Rune is a futile attempt to defy its master and that nothing can stop what is to come. With that, Oboyo and the others finished the ghostly horse and returned the manor. Sutan headed for Cosmo Canyon to report to Nanaki.

Week 22: July 19th
Elenor was prepared to issue a mission when several interruptions occured. The first was the return of Gizmo and introduction of Mogusao Kuporo, who offered the strength of his house for the invasion. The second was the arrival of one of Oboyo's former attendants who serves his father. He was a bloody mess and begged for Oboyo to hurry to Alfador Island to save the young master A.J.. With Oboyo out at Pedan, Elenor asked Kent to lead Mekis, Demonicor, and Gizmo to Alfador Island to save Oboyo's little brother and bring resolution to the traitor Graham and his unit.

During the meeting, Lucass was distracted talking to Kimen about dogs and lost his chance to board the Gitmidur MKII with Kent's team. Worried that Kent would kill Graham, Lucass and Kimen desperately searched for a way to follow them and warn Kent about the Rune of Punishment. They went to the Shrike dock and got help from Adonis Moit to arrange an 'accident' on the ferry to Truce, forcing it to make an emergency stop at Alfador Island. Upon arrival, Lucass and Kimen found Kent standing victoriously over Graham, who fought him in a one-on-one duel for the fate of A.J.. Oboyo's father was present and insisted that Graham's unit kill Kent's team and be done with it. Defeated and knowing that Lucass' presence meant losing the Rune of Punishment, Graham's strategist Rodger surrendered and returned to the manor with Kent and his team, leaving Oboyo's father behind in Medina.

After returning to the manor, Lym and Roche performed their secretive exorcizing magic on A.J. only to find that he wasn't possessed, but rather, possibly mentally traumatized or brainwashed. Demonicor escorted A.J. to a guest room while Twilight reported the details of the Pedan mission to Elenor. Oboyo and Helios began further analysis of the Spirit Rune in hopes of fashioning weapons to use for the invasion. Elenor went to the MKII to have words with Graham while Kent shared his dark secret about his demon-tainted blood with Kimen.

Week 23: August 9th
Trixie arrived at the manor with the wounded wind demon, Kagura, in search for medical aid. Kent objected to this and immediately restrained her, nearly causing internal disarray in the Paranormal Deliverance Force. Oboyo allowed Kagura to use the MK II's medical ward, but she'd have to remain restrained. Before the situation could escalate any further, Lucass stormed through the doors warning of an organized mercenary unit led by Oboyo's father that was advancing towards the manor. Oboyo, Kent, Hastur, Helios, Gizmo, and Trixie went outside to confront them. There, they learned that Oboyo's father 'prepared' A.J. as a sacrifice to the Fog Guide as repentance for his family's failure to usher in the invasion. The reason why Oboyo found the Spirit Rune under the manor was because of a deal that was made centuries ago. The personification of the Spirit Rune, Florence, was to be the harbinger of the fog ship..but he was interrupted by Sir Dusk, and later exorcised by Oboyo.

Disgusted with the old man, Oboyo and the PDF met the enemy mercenaries in battle head on. The paid muscle would learn their inferiority through blood and fire, for Oboyo didn't spend 23 weeks shepherding the stars of destiny for nothing. Meanwhile, Gizmo slipped away from the battle to learn Kagura's side of the story and why Kent would feel so hostile towards her. With Rodger's help, the MK II left for Guardia under the guise of supply retrieval to let the wind demon go.

Week 24: August 16th
Coming soon!
The truth is out. The Jinsaka family has fallen apart and war looms on the horizon. The Paranormal Deliverance Force makes its final preparations for the destined hour.

1 week remains...

A reminder to everyone: The invasion will be going on all through the week of the 18th. Our session on Friday the 16th will lead up to the beginning of the invasion. I chose to do it this way because I'll be taking a week-long vacation starting the 18th, and I can't afford to start it any later than the week of the 25th because that's when my Fall semester starts. It would be my luck to launch something big at a bad time for me considering past experiences..*grimaces at launching SoD the first week of Spring semester and Manor Missions the first week of Summer semester*. Anyway, 'vacation' is an overstatement. I'll be online all week so we can take our time and get a good invasion going!

About
What is the Stars of Destiny?
The Stars of Destiny is an RP arc themed around the Suikoden series on PSX/PS2, which is in turn based on a Japanese novel called 'Water Margin'. In this arc, players will go on a variety of missions for the Paranormal Deliverance Force to prepare for an imminent invasion by spiritual beings. It will be hosted on Friday nights at 7:00 P.M. CST. This is not the only time frame for Stars of Destiny RP however, as I'll be open for mini-sessions throughout the week that will have an effect on the Friday night sessions.

One thing that is unique about this arc is that it will have a set end date. This in turn means that our actions, or lack of actions taken leading up to the invasion will have an effect on the invasion itself. While there will be many characters involved, my aim to this arc is to set each player's character up in an important manner where they will contribute to the success of Paranormal Deliverance Force.

How can I join?
You may join the arc at any time you wish! I only ask that you be a part of the arc before jumping into our Friday night sessions. If you're interested, send Oboyo or Dusk a tell in the MUD and I will set you up with a suitable star.

What is to be expected?
We'll be using the 'loose turn order' system, where I will be leading each round with a post and everyone participating can post in whichever order they choose. If you're multiposting, please use (c) at the end of your posts or copy+paste from a notepad file. I'll be logging as well. I'm going to have a preferred and an end-all cut-off time frame set, so don't expect any sessions to go into the wee hours of the morning. While the arc is themed around Suikoden, you won't need to be familiar with the series to be able to enjoy this arc.

Any character who has joined will be playing a big role in some way, which means I won't be accepting anyone who is just going to hang out. And because Shrike is close to Truce, it is feasible to use the same characters that you would usually use to RP.
I guarantee the safety of your characters, so there's no need to worry. I can't say the same for your NPC allies however, and many of their lives will depend on your actions.

What are Manor Missions? A manor mission is a mid-week session that typically revolves around one or two of the recruited NPC stars. Depending on the mission, success can result in recruiting a new star or simply removing that character's "distractions," as Elenor put it in one of the main sessions. Their entries on the Tablet of Stars will have a Focused tab if such is the result. Failure can result in nothing or..the death of that star. So don't expect guaranteed success!

Who can go on Manor Missions? Anyone! Although there are a few mechanics involved. Each mission has one Initiator, who leads the mission and is the one initiating it. A player can only initiate a manor mission once a week, giving everyone else a chance to lead one too. A 'week' starts on Friday rather than Sunday, to coincide with SoD's timeline. In addition to the initiator, a mission can have up to three Supporters depending on the mission. Supporters are just other players who want to play along. You can support however many times you want to, but it's up to the initiator who can support, not me. Someone who has initiated a separate mission the same week can still support another initiator. And alts=players, so don't ask to initiate a mission on your alt if you've already initiated one for the week. And anyone is free to watch a manor mission if they want to. So send Oboyo a note in the MUD if you're interested in initiating a mission. If someone has already initiated one, ask them if you can support, not me. That initiator will then tell me if you can support them or not.
Available Missions
Brothers in Spirit - 1 Supporter Allowed - Lucass has noticed Sutan going out at night lately to stare into the sky instead of doing things like, you know, sleeping. Concerned, Lucass discovered that Sutan leaves the door from time to time to stare at a painting of Arlia in the manor. Maybe he wants to go mine for fish?

Missions Underway
Searching for the Order - Initiated by Hastur - Supported by Twilight and Roche - Lym has shown resolve to keep fighting for Lionel's sake, but she no doubt feels alone and abandoned. Perhaps someone can take her to the Etansel Library in hopes of finding someone from her secretive order?

The Ultimate Recipe - Initiated by Lenai - 3 Supporters Allowed - Chef Jean has been challenged by an eccentric cook to a fateful cook-off! Big whoop, right? Jean doesn't seem to think so. In fact, he seems extremely worried about losing some kind of super secret super dangerous recipe. Maybe the PDF can help him keep it safe?

The Inventor's Club - Initiated by Helios - Supported by Lenai and Demonicor - Before Egon met Oboyo, he tried to make a living by joining the Engineer's Guild. He was, however, ridiculed for his inefficient means of ghost busting. I mean, using a heavy and dangerous weapon that can only stun a ghost while someone else has to get close enough to trap it? Why not just make a gun that blasts them to bits? So he was kicked out. But now he needs materials from them and hands to construct a third proton blaster. Can the PDF show off its technical expertise to persuade the guild to welcome Egon back?

Sines of Instability - Initiated by Mors - 2 Supporters Allowed - Has anyone noticed that there's a very dangerous looking man in the manor who builds giant trash heaps? If not, they'd probably notice the one sitting right in the main courtyard. Did Oboyo let this guy in? Maybe someone should..see what his deal is.

Family Ball Game - Initiated by Kimen - 5 Supporters Allowed - Casper's always wanted to play baseball, but that's a little difficult being a ghost. More than that, his uncles have challenged him after a dispute during dinner. He seems really worried about the outcome if he loses, let alone finding a big enough team to play. Can anyone in the PDF help?

I'm running a business, Ms. Tro--err Mr. Jinsaka! - Initiated by Trixie - 1 Supporter Allowed - Servbot #1337 feels like he should be doing more to help out around the manor, so he decided to open a shop. Moit seemed -very- concerned. Maybe someone should resolve this situation..for all parties?

Completed Missions
Awkard Dating - Initiated by Mekis - Supported by Kent and Hastur - Lucass has been alive for a couple of centuries, even if he looks like a kid. He's spent most of that time living an empty life. He got a scowl from Elenor one day when he asked, "What is love?" Could some kid his age..or someone much older..have caught his eye? Sounds like someone could use some expert advice! Thanks to Kent's associations and support from Mekis and Hastur, Lucass found resolution in his feelings for Kimen.
The Donut Plains are named after their shape, which resembles a large circle around the Donut Lake in the middle.

Goombas of varying types wander the plains. An abandoned lodge sits on the eastern shore of the lake.

History
127 - A road is paved through the Donut Plains by Lea Monde.

142 - Luigi settles by Donut Lake and builds a mansion.

216 - With his plumbing skills, Luigi creates a series of underground tunnels that connect to the nearby Tonoe.

221 - Goa takes over the Donut Plains, storms Luigi's Mansion and slays all it's occupants.

229 - Utilizing the subterranean labyrinth, Fa'Diel forces take Goa on by surprise and force them out of the land.

304 - Fort Walla Walla is established in western Donut Plains.

316 - The corpse of Sheriff Mann of the Walla Walla Cavalry is found floating in Donut Lake. His murderer was never found.

Sights
Fort Walla Walla
Notable military fort run by the Koopa Kingdom.

See article for more info.

Donut Lake
A large circular lake in the center of the plains, which is what gave them their name. Many squid and crabs can be found throughout here.

Luigi's Mansion
In the old ages of the cleft, a legendary italian adventurer named Luigi was one of the key explorers who mapped out the new world. Along the way he collected a vast amount of treasures. Some say he even found one of the pieces of the Triforce. Eventually he would settle in the Donut Plains and build a huge mansion to house all his treasures. His troupe of koopas helped build it and would live in the mansion as well.

This old mansion is no longer in use...at least to the living. All the mansion inhabitants were killed off when Goa invaded the Donut Plains. Rumor has it that a secret entrance allowed Luigi to escape, but these rumors are unfounded as he never returned to reclaim his mansion when the war was over, nor has he reappeared anywhere else since. Now ghosts dwell the halls of the mansion, still loyal to Luigi, and scaring away those who hope to loot his treasures.

Subterranean Labyrinth
The underground tunnels connect the Donut Plains with Tonoe. They were built largely with Luigi's help and their primary function was as a backup water system for the farmlands.

Later, the labyrinth would be used to help Fa'Diel locals take their land back from Goa. At this time, the labyrinth was damaged and the locals never repaired it because Luigi was nowhere to direct them. It is now overrun with the local wildlife.

Travel
Donut Plains is a major junction point in southern Fa'Diel. It has paths leading to various places such as Fort Walla Walla to the west and the farming village of Tonoe to the north. To the south is the Safari Zone, a refuge for wild pokemon.

Inhabitants
Koopas
The Donut Plains already had a fair population of Koopas for a while, thanks to Luigi, but they haven't truly flourished until Fort Walla Walla was built, specifically to protect the Koopas from thieves around the area at the time.

Wildlife
Various goombas have called these plains their home.
Some fish also live in the lake.

Law, Government, and Politics
The Donut Plains are a part of the Fa'Diel Union, though the Koopa Kingdom also has some military control over the area, and much of the natural landscape is maintained by the farming village Tonoe.
He offers a unique travel experience for interested parties and is apparently involved with a secretive 'Cirrus Club'.

Inhabitants
Most inhabitants in the sky are docile creatures, ranging from friendly Waddle Dees to soft hearted Wigglers. Despite appearances, these creatures have been known to be ruthless when confronted.

Law, Government, and Politics
The sky is an uncivilized and lawless place. Pirates have been known to sail the skies in an interrupted conquest involving alcoholic substances and general misconduct. Despite this, a certain 'Pink Baron' has been seen taking the law into his own hands, and would certainly dispense justice upon murderous adventurers.
Feyan Lake is a small body of water in Fa'Diel. One can reach it by following a southern road in the Oreyndur Forest. It contains many Fey, though they are shy and there is a slim chance of catching a glimpse of them, unless of course, you know how. The fey and villagers from the nearby village of Brei do not get along very well, so if you befriend one side, the other side may not like you very much. If one looks around, they may find a few odd creatures and/or people also inhabiting the lake, though avoiding the Kobolds is recommended. Hinata Inn is also near Feyan Lake, though it's doubtful the residents converse much.

In recent Cleft history, Brigantean Forces used the village of Brei as a stronghold.
The Moogle Cave is a warren of tunnels within the Sulfataska Mountains filled with small, white creatures called Moogles.
Though the moogles are the main inhabitants they share the caves with Vomammoths; big hairy creatures with large tusks that automatically attack anyone weaker than them. The most powerful of the moogles is a dancing creature named Mog who wanders the caves on patrol. This area is well suited for the level 11-20 players.

Sights
Travelers from Viorar come afar to see the amazing rocks found throughout the cave. Also to see moogle craftsmenship, listen to moogle musicians, and watch moogle dancers.
Travel
The cave opens up into the Sulfataska Mountains south of Truce, but it is rumored that the moogles use another exit closer to the city.
Inhabitants
Moogles are primary population here, living alongside a few aggressive vommamoths. Craftsmen sell special rarities to travelers while musicians and dancers offer entertainment.
Gobi's Valley is a set of ancient ruins located somewhere in the Kakkara Desert.

Though in the middle of nowhere, it's pretty safe, provided you're not breaking into tombs...

Inhabitants
A small group of archaeologists have established a camp here and are investigating the ruins. There's also signs of more modern tinkering in the area, but it's a mystery who or why. It is also a natural habitat for scarabs and random mummy hands.

Sights
Tourists will be pleased to know that many of the sights include sand. There's also a sphinx to visit. And burning hot sand that would burn one's flesh immensely.

Law, Government, and Politics
Guardia
On the northwest side of the world is the continent of Guardia, probably the most mountainous continent in the Cleft. It features the largest and tallest mountain range (Loftarasa) as well as a few other minor groups of mountains. Most of the population exists within flatlands and valleys between these peaks.

The continent is almost entirely ruled by Guardia, hence the name. Guardia is run by a coalition of elected individuals from the major towns whom meet in Guardia Castle to administer law to the states. It used to be a Kingdom, hence the castle, but the King and Queen are now figureheads. The leader of Guardia goes by the title of Chancellor.
To the southwest is the continent of Fa'Diel, the area most untouched by civilization and therefore the greenest. Its terrain is varied, though most of it is close to sea level.

The continent has no clear ruling entity, and is maintained mostly by isolated communities and an alliance of soldiers whose duties are primarily to aid the locals. Fa'Diel is divided into provinces defined by their geologic properties and common populations.
Oceans
Manawydan Ocean
This is the smallest ocean, existing to the far north of the Cleft. The waters here are extremely cold and full of icebergs. It borders the northern coast of Guardia (mainly the Madra Ice Fields and Loftarasa Mountain Range), and the north coast of Hyrule and the Haunted Wastelands.

Inhabitants

There are an extremely small amount of intelligent creatures that live off of the Manawydan Ocean. A few small settlements exist on the northern beaches consisting mainly of Walrus, Lobstermen, and Penguins, but nothing to write home about.

Sea Life

Because of its isolation and dangerous waters, the sea life here thrives more than in other regions of the Cleft. The fish can grow to very large, trecherous sizes.

*Gyarados
*Giant Bloopers
*Sea-witches (think Ursula)
*Electric eels
*others

Aegiran Ocean
These warm waters exist between the east coast of Guardia, the west coast of Hyrule, and the north waters of the Shadmire Archipelago. Because of the large amount of port cities around these continents, the Aegiran Ocean contains the highest volume of boat traffic. The center of the Aegiran Ocean is marked by the El Nido Triangle.

Sea Life

The aquatic life around the Aegiran Ocean consists of many tropical fish of medium size. Very rarely are there any large threatening fish in these waters, and if they are, they mainly exist around the El Nido region. Rarely a Gyarados has been spotted in these waters.

*Iffish
*Corsola
*Tentacool
*others

Gliese Ocean
Also known as the dead waters, the Gliese Ocean is a very still and dead section of the Cleft that exists at the southern edge of the Cleft. Little light reaches these waters and the only land nearby is the southern tip of Fa'Diel, a few small islands from Shadmire, and the south coast of Goa.

Inhabitants

No one lives here. (obviously this means someone secret special probably lives here)

Sea Life

Little to no aquatic life in these waters.

Noctog Ocean
These warm waters exist between the west coast of Fa'Diel and the east coasts of Hyrule, Vandole, and Goa. This is the largest ocean in the Cleft of Dimensions. The water here is also the deepest and the darkest, giving the ocean it's name.

Inhabitants

Sea Life

While many fish exist in the Aegiran Ocean, they are often further below the surface to avoid the constant contact with the ferries and trade ships. The primary spot for fishing in the Cleft exists in the Noctog Ocean, which is vaster and provides more security for the ocean life.

*Lots of fishes
*Whales!
*Krabbys

Public Transportation
Several methods of transportation exist in the Cleft of Dimensions, including a ferry system and an airship.
The Kakkara Desert is a desert island in Shadmire. It is near Caspia, which sits on the other end of the same island.

History
20 - Desperate to survive, a large group of individuals transplanted into the Cleft of Dimensions begins digging into the earth to escape the harsh weather of the Cleft's early years.

23 - After years of digging, a tunnel is discovered deep in the ground, leading to Fa'Diel.

325 - Monotoli Inc. establishes a sandship transportation system.

Sights
It's a very barren and boring desert. There is mostly nothing to see out here.

Dry Dry Outpost
A small outpost exists on the edge of the desert near the sandship dock. It was originally founded to support the sandship workers, but neighboring chobins moved in shortly after, expressing their natural entrepreneurial spirit.

Travel
Traveling by foot in the desert is strongly discouraged. Some of the more experienced utilize mounts to trek across the desert. A mechanical sandship acts as a ferry between the ends of the desert, where Caspia, Gobi's Valley, and the Sea of Wonders lies to the northeast, _____ lies to the south, and the Shadmire entrance of Fossil Roo lies to the west.

Inhabitants
Vampires
There are rumors of a dark world of vampires somewhere around the desert. They say all who go looking for the vampire castle never return, but it's probably because of heatstroke.

Creatures
The wildlife is sparse here, consisting of a small colony of lanmolas and a few desert mallards that congregate around the water.

Law, Government, and Politics
Kakkara Desert exists on the largest island of the Shadmire Archipelago. It belongs to the Shadmire Kingdom, but there are no laws that govern this specific region, as it is ungovernable.

Monotoli Inc. has staked a minor claim in the region with their Sandship Industry which is necessary for much communication and resources across the island.

Inhabitants
There aren't any particularly important settlements in the Coronar Lowlands other than a lone house and a workshop.
Arlia was incorporated into Fa'Diel in the year 308, when it was ordered to hold an election for a mayor to represent and manage the community. Mayor Regis was elected and has held the position since then.

::For an actual list of spells, see: Spells

Mana
Mana is the energy that flows throughout the Cleft, sustaining life and powering magic spells.* The source of Mana is the Mana Tree, who is the Mana Goddess, which is in the Mana Holyland. Mana can be used for either good or evil, but as the Mana Goddess has some morals, Mana itself sometimes resists attempts to be used for evil.

*Certain spells draw upon the other immortals without using the force of mana. They are listed in the Claire Bible

Mana Holyland
The Mana Holyland is a place in the Upper Realm that contains the Mana Tree and a population of fairies and other Mana creatures.

See the main article at Mana Holyland.

The Mana Goddess/Tree
When the Mana Holyland appeared in the Valley of Wonders, the Mana Tree itself combined with the Machina Principia. In this way, a link had been established between the Mana Tree and the core of the Cleft. Through this link, mana is spread throughout our world. The Mana Goddess can be considered the spirit of the Mana Tree, or the Mana Tree itself, as her life force is directly linked to it. She's not the same as other Immortals.

Mana Spirits
There are eight mana spirits, one for each facet of the power of Mana. They are tied directly to the Mana Goddess, although they all possess their own free will.

*Earth - Gnome
*Fire - Salamando
*Wind - Sylphid(Also known as Jinn)
*Water - Undine
*Wood - Dryad
*Moon - Luna
*Light - Lumina
*Dark - Shade

All Mana Spirits except Lumina and Shade have a day of the week named after them.

Sword of Mana
The Sword of Mana is a special weapon that appears from time to time when a hero needs it to save the world.

See the main article at Mana Sword.

Mana Stones
Mana stones are a physical manifestation of Mana which give their element a greater influence in the surrounding area, and likely possess great power.

See the main article at Mana Stones.

Mana Seeds
Mana seeds are the sisters of the Mana stones. They are seeds from the Mana Tree, possessing an ability to amplify their element's power, similar to that of the stones. The seeds also have a seal on them to bind the Sword of Mana.

Creatures of Mana
Some lifeforms are inherently magical, like Faeries and Espers. Others were created from Mana itself, like the God-Beasts.

Spellcasters
Intelligent beings can control Mana with focused willpower. This is easier for some than for others, but for the most part it is possible for members of any race to use some form of magic.

Materia
Materia is the 'fossilized' remains of creatures of Mana. It can be invoked somehow to release magical energy.
Magicite
Magicite is Materia formed from dead Espers.
Chrysm
Chrysm is Materia formed from dead Dragons, and often the purest source of Chrysm comes from the eggs of dragons that never hatch.
This, of course, is harder to come by.

Magirock
Magirock is natural rock crystal, often a mineral as plain as quartz, that can be harnessed for Mana potential. Much like a piezoelectric crystal can convert mechanical energy to electricity, Magirock can be consumed for various magical purposes.

Bean Valley is in Fa'Diel, west of the Lorien Highlands.

There is some pretty fertile soil there.

History
Bean Valley has no recorded history. Some plants grew. Then they grew some more.

Sights
There isn't much to see here, but there is a rumor of a large beanstalk that seems to sprout at sunrise once in a while. Details on catalyzing the beanstalk are unknown.

Grate Guy's Casino
Supposedly there is a casino hidden around here somewhere, but it is incredibly hard to find, and also difficult to receive a membership.

Travel
On land, the only way out of Bean Valley is through it's east entrance into the Lorien Highlands. In the sky above, some house floats around. There is a rumor that you can get there by growing plants.

Inhabitants
Some lakitus make their home in the trees and sky above Bean Valley.

Wildlife
Aggressive mobile plants! Most of these plants are flowers that devour small animals, though sometimes a Smilax can grow to huge proportions if given the right treatment.

Law, Government, and Politics
Bean Valley is a part of the Upperlands of Fa'Diel. It is very isolated from civilization.
229 - Utilizing the subterranean labyrinth, Fa'Diel forces take Goa on by surprise and force them out of the land.

Sights
Harvest Spring
There is a spring in the woods near Tonoe which was once used to worship the Harvest Goddess, an ancient sprite in the area thought to be responsible for the nutrient rich soil and abundant waterways.

Statue of Luigi
The statue of an ancient hero Luigi has been erected in the town square, paying homage to the man who helped found the town and established underground waterways that act as a secondary source of water for the townspeople.

Travel
The main route through Fa'Diel cuts through the town of Tonoe, and a mini-industry has been established to cater to the needs of travelers, much to the dismay of some locals.

Inhabitants
Tonoe is inhabited mostly by local farmers. Some sprites used to live in the area, but haven't been seen lately.

Law, Government, and Politics
Tonoe is an independent town located in the grassland Feh'Rul Province of Fa'Diel.

It has an elected mayor whose most important duties in such a small community are the organization of local farm-related festivals.
