They are mad! MAD, I TELL YOU!!
Okay, what you really need to know is that various explorers found each other while poking their noses places noses don't normally go, and certainly not outside of large, heavily armed groups of noses. Some actually decided that they liked each other and, glory glory, even enjoyed hanging out and worked well together. They started hanging out. They went built a clubhouse to hang out with each other. They even visit it some times. They ewven went so far to set up and maintain a formal guild hall.
They hold to various tenets that they are more than willing to share.
Fringe Tenets
- Fringers may steal, but never from each other.
- Gather spoils and split them fairly and equitably.
- Charity for those in need is a good thing.
- Fringers are honest and forthright, or outright refuse to answer when speaking to each other.
- Friends don't let friends face continent or world destroying power alone. (Unless they rush ahead and forget to wait for backup. That's on them.)
- Smart fringers don't race ahead without backup unless they know that they can handle it.
- Friends don't leave friend's carcasses to rot if they can resurrect them.
- Fringers should conspire to excel. In this world of magical power, this means that preturnatural powers should be cultivated.
- Fringers are sexy beasts, but don't abuse this talent.

Speaking the Unspoken
Kaze's elucidation of group loot rules:
- He who herds the cats sets the goal.
- They also get first pick.
- Everyone who comes get to pick.
- If you can't come up with a better order, use rank or even just order of speaking.
- Picks are made at the planning stage. Simply declare something that you want or need. Whoever organizes gets to go first. When everyone has gone, start over at the organizer and add others. Say what your goals are. Order of declaration is, later, order of disposition.
- Whoever leads should be followed.
- Before you go, everybody go potty, get your drinks and food squared away, and deposit all your cash.(unless there is a mission reason to bring some)
- Survive!
- At the end of a run, pool all the money. Pool all the drops.
- Run through the picks as already agreed. If three people each want 10 of something, and you pulled 5, go in order. The top two get two and all three get one. This isn't hard.
- If someone needs something and no one called it, they can take it, regardless of picks.
- The best hagglers run off and try to sell everything left for the best cash they can manage.
- Split all the cash evenly.
