History
- Equestria -
A. Canterlot: From birth, Twilight's been immersed extensively in the atmosphere of the Equestrian capital, and provided with an almost intimate knowledge of royal life, through her connections with Princesses Celestia and Luna. In addition, her desire for knowledge developed almost entirely in the halls of the castle well within the city's walls.
B. Ponyville: From the moment she arrived in the rather small village, up until the time she was sucked into the rift leading to the Cleft, Twilight Sparkle had started on a modest expansion of her library and house, in keeping with the ever-expanding town she's come to call home.
- Guardia -
A. Viorar: After being ripped rather violently from her library in Ponyville, and given an unceremonious introduction to the Eternal Night Citadel, Twilight set out to explore the large city and the surrounding areas, unaware of just how much being 'transplanted' would eventually change her, as well as being unaware of the loss she'd endure, and the plethora of friends she would eventually make.
B. Truce: Even though her name first spread slowly in Viorar, Twilight soon decided to venture out to other places in the Cleft, starting with the other large city. There, she encountered the first of many new friends, while still retaining much of her usual tendencies, especially of isolation and preference of studies to socializing.
A major turning point, however, came with the unexpected arrival of Sweetie Belle, and the subsequent death of a corrupted Rarity - at around this time, she came to realize her new responsibilities, and embraced them more readily as she began to change from her prolonged exposure.
It was also here that she agreed to join the newly founded Paranormal Deliverance Force, while retrieving a donated shipment of books from a contact at the Truce harbor.
Eventually, while in service with the PDF, Twilight ascended to the status of pseudo-royalty at the same time as Anti-Twilight, after an encounter which left her lost and sent her dark counterpart to the astral realm for a time, though she's admitted that her domain as Princess of Magic has no bearing within the Cleft. Despite this, however, she's become a far more valuable part of the PDF, owing to her vast repertoire of magic and newly-gained ability to fly, in addition to her natural leadership abilities.
Plans
Even if she was still unsure of what to do after her arrival, eventually, the desire to recreate her rather successful Ponyville library-house surfaced as she ultimately wound up in Shrike, at the Jinsaka Manor.
Relationships
-Family-
Sweetie Belle - Owing to the death of Sweetie's former older sister, Rarity, as a result of corruption, Twilight's unwittingly been thrust into the role of an older sibling, through agreeing to adopt the growing filly and provide guidance.
Princess Celestia - Though their relationship is more of mentor and pupil, Twilight has become quite close to the Sun Princess through her older brother's marriage to Celestia's niece.
Princess Luna - Despite their first meeting resulting from the use of the Elements of Harmony to purge darkness from the Night Princess, and Celestia's younger sister, both Twilight and Luna have since grown closer as friends, in addition to the establishment of family bonds.
Princess Cadance - Aside from her brother, Twilight is also very close to her foal-sitter, and sister-in-law through marriage.
Shining Armor - As Twilight's older brother, and one of the three Captains of the Royal Guard, Shining Armor is also tied to the throne of the Crystal Empire as a Prince, through marriage to his younger sister's foal-sitter, Princess Cadance.
-Friends-
Julexa - While rather impulsive, and prone to getting in trouble, the small Pichu has still managed to find herself a place in Twilight's heart, and because of this, the unicorn and Pokemon have become quite close despite their differences.
Lynette Bishop - Despite meeting for the first time in the town square of Truce, both magic-capable snipers have become quick friends, deciding to stand united as members of the PDF.
Kagura - Though their first encounter was in a fierce fight under the harbor of Truce, the two have since made amends, and become friends.
Oboyo Jinsaka - Even though the two of them met by chance in Truce's harbor, Twilight still holds a good deal of respect for him, and has agreed to work with him as a member of the Paranormal Deliverance Force.
Rarity - As bearers of two of the Elements of Harmony, Rarity and Twilight have been quite close, even after their arrival in the Cleft. However, the conscious decision by the Generosity-bearer strained their friendship somewhat, leading to an empty void in Twilight's heart upon her friend's corruption and subsequent death.
Mogwai - Though she had not expected to be thrown into the role of an academic and magical advisor, Twilight's come to enjoy being able to help Mogwai and provide guidance or critical assistance with spells or studies, in much the same fashion as she herself relied on Princess Celestia for guidance.
Powers
Teleportation - As part of her extensive knowledge of magic, Twilight's quite capable of using it to teleport large groups at once, across rather large distances if she concentrates enough.
Flight - After her 'transition' from an ordinary unicorn to the newest of the pegacorns with the realization of her destiny, Twilight's gained the ability to fly under her own power, though she still can't fly very fast or non-stop over large distances.
Spell acquisition - Equally useful is Twilight's ability to memorize various spells, or copy them simply through observing their use once.
Alternate 'identities'
Anti-Twilight - After falling into the cleft at around the same time as Twilight, from a ruined Equestria, this darker 'version' of the Magic-bearer has proven to be far more ruthless and willing to kill, as the bearer of the Element of Savagery. As such, where Twilight is light-hearted and driven by the need to protect her friends, Anti-Twilight is, in essence, a extremely negative mirror of her. However, after revealing herself to the majority of the Paranormal Deliverance Force, as a corruption of the Twilight they thought they knew, she was bested by Trixie, and presumably locked away for her deception.
