Iv wandered the mesa, when in the distance he saw a figure. Curious, he went
towards the figure, and as Iv got closer it noticed that it was a reploid who
approached.
The figure said, "Hmm... reploid, yes? I need reploids to join me, you will do nicely."
Iv gasped as he realized that the reploid was Jedo, infamous leader of the virus-carrying Mavericks, then said: "I am sorry, but my allegiance is with Rockman, and so I oppose all that you stand for."
Jedo replied: "That wasn't a question. You are going to join me."
And with that, Jedo quickly brought up his arm, and fired a fiery orb at Iv.
Iv, still young and inexperienced, wasn't quick enough to dodge the blast,
and was hit in the side, leaving a gaping hole. Quickly, Jedo walked up to Iv
and placed his hand upon Iv's wound. A black substance seeped from his hand
into Iv's wound, sealing it. Iv, from the shock of the blow, was
unconscious and close to death. When he came to, he was still on the mesa, but
Jedo was gone. All that was left was a ring and a tattered map showing the
secret location of the Mavericks Base. Iv now was infected, he now was a Maverick. Like it or not.
